New Positive COVID-19 Case Reported in Stevens County

Northeast Tri County Health District (NETCHD) was notified today, June 29, 2020, of a new positive COVID-19 case in Stevens County. With the new case identified earlier today in Stevens County, this brings the combined total of positive cases for Ferry, Pend Oreille, and Stevens Counties to 23. Ferry (1), Pend Oreille (4), and Stevens (18).


The individual who tested positive resides in the Chewelah area and is currently isolating at home. NETCHD staff is in the process of notifying close contacts to give them guidance and advise of precautions they should take. If you have not been notified by NETCHD staff as a close contact but are concerned you may have been exposed, you may visit Washington State Department of Health’s website: www.doh.wa.gov for guidance on “What to do if you were potentially exposed to someone with confirmed coronavirus disease (COVID-19)”.
