OBTAINING BIRTH OR DEATH RECORDS

Certified copies of the following records are available from the Health District Colville office:

Birth records for the State of Washington from 1921 to date. The process to update past birth records is ongoing, please call for updates.

Death records for Ferry, Pend Oreille and Stevens County deaths. The original certificate is in our possession between thirty (30) and sixty (60) days after the occurrence. In the event of a fairly recent death, it is suggested that the Health District Colville office be contacted at (509) 684-1301 to determine whether the certificate has been forwarded to Olympia.

Birth and death records from 1907 to date are available from the Department of Health in Olympia.
